Keswick senior Jakara Akins scored 23 points to lead the Crusaders to a 61-33 win over Indian Rocks on Thursday, January 23. As a result, Akins became the all-time leading scorer for the Keswick girls basketball program, passing Kristen Mock who held the scoring record since 2002 (1,365 points, 1998-2002).

With her 23-point effort, Akins pushed her career scoring mark to 1,370 points with more games to play this season. Akins and the Crusaders have surpassed the 20-win mark for the third-consecutive season and are gearing up for a post-season run after coming within one point of advancing to the Final Four.
The Crusaders have three regular season games remaining: at Clearwater (Tue, Jan. 28, 7:45pm), vs. Tampa Prep (Thu, Jan. 30, 7pm) and at Cambridge Christian (Fri, Jan. 31, 6pm).
Postseason play will begin the week of February 3, as Keswick hosts the 2A District 7 Tournament.
