Boys Soccer Hot Streak Continues: The Crusaders boys soccer team is off to one if its best starts in school history with a 7-1 record. The Crusaders are ranked No.11 in last week’s MaxPreps 2A Rankings, while Josh Nordaas ranks second in Florida across all classes in points (45) and goals (18).
Last week, Keswick defeated St. Petersburg High in a 3-2 thriller behind three goals from senior Josh Nordaas. Caleb Rogers had two assists in the win.
The Crusaders capped the week by handing Universal Academy its first loss of the season with a 3-0 victory. Senior Caleb Tacia recorded the shutout with five saves as three different players scored for KCS – Kai Devega, Jon Nordaas and Jadon Smith.
Boys soccer has three games this week playing at Admiral Farragut (Tue, Dec. 10, 7pm), at Canterbury (Thu, Dec. 12, 6pm) and vs. Bayshore Christian (Fri, Dec. 13, 6pm).

Girls Basketball Remains Undefeated, Jakara Closing In On Record: The Crusaders improved their season-opening win streak to five last week with a decisive 64-26 victory over visiting Bayshore Christian. Jakara Akins scored a team-leading 15 points, followed by Lauren Cook and Stefania March who added 10 points each.
Akins has now scored 1,118 points at Keswick, seventh most in school history. She is 247 points behind the all-time leading scorer Kristen Mock (1,365 points, 1998-2002).
Boys Basketball Splits First Two Games: After a convincing win over Bishop McLaughlin in the season-opener, the boys basketball team dropped a close back-and-forth battle at Shorecrest last week. The Crusaders had the ball down two, with just under 30 seconds to play, but could not muster any last minute magic as they fell short against Shorecrest, 57-52.
Senior Carter Casko scored a game-high 22 points for the Cursaders, while Aaron Trill added 9 points and Austin Vogl contributed with 3 assists and 5 steals.
The Crusaders will look to bounce back this week with games against District opponent Sarasota Christian (Tue, Dec. 10, 7pm), at Northeast (Thu, Dec. 12, 7:30pm) and at Universal Academy (Fri, Dec. 13, 7:15pm).
