๐Ÿ”ฌ๐Ÿงฌ AP Research student, Charlotte Sapp, completed lab research at @uflorida last week, examining muscle tissue associated with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.

Inspired by her brotherโ€™s diagnosis of Duchenneโ€™s, her work utilized histology and immunofluorescence imaging to study canine heart muscle samples, contributing to a deeper understanding of neuromuscular disease at the cellular level.

What a wonderful opportunity โ€” we are so proud of you! ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ“šโœจ Testimonial: Crusader Book Club is celebrating 16 years!

This year, students in grades 2โ€“5 returned to the classics with The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. In this voluntary club, readers explore each book, complete a worksheet, and gather with friends to share their thinking and discoveries.

For many Crusader families, the Crusader Book Club has become a treasured tradition.

One parent recently shared: โ€œI am so thrilled to see my sonโ€™s enjoyment of book club. He isnโ€™t as much of a reader as his sister so I wasnโ€™t sure if he would like it. He just loves diving into Narnia.... and is loving the discussion! He likes talking about the excitement (boys love a battle scene!), depth, and symbolism in these great books...and always looking for Aslan. It is amazing to watch!!โ€

Special thanks to leader Michelle Trotter, and to everyone who helps to make this club possible! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ“–
๐ŸŽต๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽผ Congratulations to these students (see below) who represented our school at Florida All-State last week! They performed alongside other top student musicians in the state, and under the leadership of many of the best directors in the nation.

We are so proud of their hard work and the way they represented Keswick with excellence! ๐Ÿ‘๐ŸŽถ

๐ŸŒพ๐Ÿ„ A Field Trip to @dakindairyfarms
Our Environmental Science students visited Dakin Dairy Farms to learn about Florida agriculture and dairy production. They toured the farm and saw how milk is bottled before heading to local grocery stores. And of course no visit would be complete without tasting fresh chocolate milk straight from the farm and cuddling the sweetest baby calves! ๐Ÿค๐Ÿฎ (the little dark brown calf pictured on its own is just 3 days old!) How amazing is that? ๐Ÿฎ๐ŸคŽ
๐Ÿงฌ๐Ÿ”ฌToday, Ms. Brownโ€™s Anatomy & Physiology students wrapped up their unit on the eye with a special visit from our high school principal. Mr. Mortimer shared about his personal journey with Type 1 diabetes, and the affects that can have on the human eye. Grateful for leaders who teach through both knowledge and testimony!
