The Mayor's Showcase of Achievement for the Youth of St. Petersburg

Several KCS Students were nominated from the ten categories highlighting various gifts and abilities.

In Middle School:
*Nick Trotter was a runner up in the Academic Excellence category.

In High School:

     *Jacob Bouvier was a runner up in the Overcoming Adversity category.
     *Mary Jacubec was a runner up in the Scholar Athlete category.
     *Jon Easterday was the WINNER of the Academic Excellence category.

Winners received a trophy and $500. Students who placed in the top three (runner ups) received a trophy and $100.

A Celebration to Honor Our Superintendent, Mr. David Holtzhouse
Friday, May25th at 7:00 pm in the Keswick Gym
The Keswick Board of Directors will honor Mr. David Holtzhouse and celebrate his six years of ministry to our school. Please plan to join us for this special time of recognition. Mrs. Carol Holtzhouse will be there along with their children and grandchildren.

KCS Latin Students Achieve Honors

KCS Latin Students Achieve Honors for their 2012 National Latin Exam Scores.

KCS has 6 students who will be awarded a designation for the 2012 National Latin Exam.
Over 148,000 students from all 50 states and 13 foreign countries took the exam. Here are our winners:

Silver Maxima Cum Laude - Mark Trotter
Magna Cum Laude - Ashley Fayett
Magna Cum Laude - Mattie Moore
Magna Cum Laude - Stephen Coleman
Cum Laude - Alyssa Zurla
Certificate of Merit - Sarah Silberman

KCS Performs with Honors at ACSI Math League

Keswick students placed First in Algebra I, First in Algebra II, Second in Pre-Algebra and Second in Geometry.

Special recognition goes to Freshman Lindsey Carroll who scored as the highest individual regional winner in Algebra II.

Keswick takes the Top Honors for Perfect Scores in ACSI Florida Math League. KCS had 15 perfect scores, the most over any other school that participated.

KCS Students performed AWESOMELY at the ACSI Spelling Bee

KCS Students (Grades 5-8) performed AWESOMELY at the ACSI Regional Spelling Bee held at St. Pete Christian on March 2, 2012. These students spent hours in preparation and represented our school well.

Sixth Grade was represented by:
Sarah DeNavarra
David Polar (who placed 5th in this grade level and earned a $10.00 Walmart Gift Card)
Jarrin Smith
Luke Trotter (who placed 4th and went on to place 11 in the Regional Spelling Bee in Clearwater on March 31st. He earned a $50.00 gift card to Target)

Eigth Grade was represented by two veteran spellers:

Clayton Moore (who placed 6th and won a $10.00 Starbucks gift card)

Nick Trotter (who placed 4th and went on to place 8th in the Regionals on March 31st. He received a $50.00 to Regal Cinemas)

Thank you to these two students for representing Keswick over the past years.
