History
Keswick Christian School offers 12 different sports that compete at the Class 2A, 1A, or 1B levels of the Florida High School Athletic Association. There are 32 teams within the framework of the athletic department and the various levels of each sport. Sixty percent of the student body, in grades 6-12, participate on an athletic team. Crusader fall sports are comprised of JV & Varsity boys and girls Cross Country, JH & Varsity Football, Boys Golf, Boys & Girls Swimming, and JH, JV & Varsity Volleyball. The winter sports season includes JH, JV & Varsity boys and girls Basketball, as well as JH & Varsity boys and Varsity girls Soccer. The spring sports include JH & Varsity Baseball, Softball, Varsity boys and girls Tennis, and JH & Varsity boys and girls Track.
Keswick athletic teams have been consistently competitive throughout the history of the athletic department. There have been 33 District runner-up, 40 District Champion, 17 Regional Champion, 5 State Runner-up, and 4 State Champion team titles. There have also been 8 individual State Champions, as well as 31 State qualifying teams.
The Crusaders are also active members of the Bay Conference and have been able to hang Championship banners in four sports. Overall Keswick has been Conference Division Champions 38 times and have 16 Conference Championship titles. Each year 18-25 Keswick athletes are named to All Conference teams for various sports. Many student-athletes are also recognized through the Bay Conference Scholar Athlete Award which is given to Juniors and Seniors with a gpa of 3.5 or higher.
Sportsmanship is of utmost importance at all Crusader sporting events. Keswick has been nominated for the FHSAA Sportsmanship Award for multiple years.
